Base Materials & Quality

HairNotion Men’s Hair Fiber – Technical Brief
(Factory-direct specs we supply to clinics, salons and e-commerce brands)
-
Base Architecture
a. Swiss Lace 64 g/m² (true 20 denier, hexagonal cell)
– Breathability: 420 g/m²/24 h MVTR (ISO 15496)
– Edge taper: 0.03 mm scallop, melts into skin under 0.5 mm stubble
b. Thin Skin perimeter (medical-grade PU, 0.06 mm)
– Shore-A 78 hardness = flex without buckle; 500× bend cycle, no crack
– Matte micro-texture, 18 µm roughness = zero shine even under LED barbershop lighting -
Hair Quality
– 100 % Remy human hair, Mongolian origin, 5 % gray mix optional
– Cuticle-intact, same-direction; silicone-free acid bath → non-coated strands feel “born-here”
– Diameter graded: 0.065 mm (light), 0.075 mm (medium), 0.085 mm (coarse) to match client donor hair within ±5 µm -
Knotting & Density Map
– Single split knots on lace, 1-2 hairs per knot; knot size 0.3 mm, disappears when hair is dry
– 45° angle injection on thin-skin edge → “V-loop” = no return, zero knot bump
– Density graduation: 90 % (front 1 cm), 110 % (mid-scalp), 130 % (crown) → undetectable hairline but natural fullness backward -
Comfort & Safety
– Hypo-allergenic perimeter tape channel; cyano-tests: no leachable formaldehyde (<20 ppm)
– pH 4.5–5.5 finish = scalp-neutral; dermatology patch-passed (ISO 10993-10) -
Durability Matrix
– Shed rate: <5 hairs/day after 1,000 h brushing machine (0.4 N tension)
– Base lifespan: Swiss-lace 3–4 months daily wear; thin-skin perimeter extends to 6 months with 2-servicing protocol
– Heat rating: 180 °C flat-iron safe; color fade ΔE<3 after 30 wash cycles (40 °C, SLES 2 %) -
Frontal Illusion Technology
– Triple-bleached knots + graduated 0.5 mm poly-coated lace edge = “glass-line” effect; camera-flash invisible
– Optional HD filament (12 denier) lace upgrade—pore size 0.8 mm, stretches 60 % weft-way for skin-hug fit -
Factory QC
– Each unit laser-traced; 14-point inspection card enclosed (density, hairline contour, base integrity, odor, static test)
– 24-hour salt-spray (5 % NaCl) corrosion test on all metal combs/clips—no rust transfer -
Packaging & After-Care
– Vacuum-sealed, anti-bacterial film; 5-year shelf life before first install
– QR code links to install video, tape schedule, and 30-day remake guarantee form
We keep stock men’s templates (6”×8”, 8”×10”) and run 7-day custom from scalp template or 3D print. MOQ 1 piece for sampling, 20 pcs bulk. Contact me directly for spec sheet & wholesale card.
Factory Craftsmanship

As Senior Hair Replacement Specialist and Factory Manager at HairNotion, I’ll speak directly to you about our men’s hair fibers production—no marketing fluff, just factory-floor truth. Men’s fibers demand unique precision: they’re applied in smaller quantities, must blend seamlessly with natural short hair, and withstand daily wear (sweat, wind, movement). At HairNotion, we don’t treat these as a “scaled-down” version of women’s products. We build them from the ground up with dedicated expertise. Here’s how:
🔧 4 Specialized Craft Worker Groups
Every batch is handled by only the team trained for men’s fibers—no cross-training, no shortcuts.
– Fiber Selection & Sorting Team: 10+ years’ experience in men’s hair textures. They inspect raw fibers (100% human keratin) for exact diameter consistency (0.04–0.08mm), ensuring no coarse strands disrupt natural scalp blending.
– Color Matching Technicians: Dedicated to men’s color science. They don’t just match shades—they replicate subtle gradients (e.g., salt-and-pepper, silver, or “natural dark brown with root shadow”) using spectrophotometers. Each batch undergoes 3 rounds of color validation under D65 lighting to eliminate hue drift.
– Precision Assembly Unit: Men’s fibers require micro-level accuracy. This team hand-feeds strands into application tools at 0.1mm tolerance—ensuring uniform density and zero clumping. Unlike generic lines, they adjust for male application styles (e.g., hairline definition, crown coverage).
– Packaging Specialists: Men’s fibers are often carried in pockets or used on-the-go. They seal each packet in moisture-barrier foil (tested for 24-hour humidity resistance) and label with batch-specific codes for traceability.
🚦 Dedicated Production Lines (No Cross-Contamination)
Our factory has zero shared lines for men’s vs. women’s products. Why?
– Men’s fibers are shorter (1–3cm), finer, and often coarser than women’s longer strands. If mixed, even 5% contamination causes visible patchiness or shedding.
– We run separate lines with color-coded equipment (e.g., blue for men’s, red for women’s), and all tools are sterilized between runs. No “quick clean” compromises—only full sanitation per FDA standards.
– This isolation ensures zero carryover of styling agents or additives used in women’s products (e.g., volumizing polymers), which could make men’s fibers feel stiff or unnatural.
🧪 Strict QC Protocol (12-Point Military-Grade Checks)
We don’t just “test” fibers—we validate every metric that matters to your clients:
– Tensile Strength Test: Each strand withstands 30+ pulls without breakage (industry avg: 15–20).
– Color Consistency: ΔE < 1.5 under standard lighting (vs. industry avg. ΔE 3.0+).
– Fiber Length Variance: ±0.5mm tolerance (most factories allow ±1.0mm).
– Shedding Test: 8 hours of simulated sweat/wind exposure with zero visible loss.
– Microscopic Inspection: Every packet is checked for contaminants (e.g., dust, debris) at 100x magnification.
– Real-World Trials: Before shipment, 5% of batches are tested by professional barbers on live clients—focusing on hold time, natural appearance after 12 hours of wear, and ease of removal.
💡 Why This Matters to You
This isn’t about “being the biggest factory”—it’s about specialization. When you source from HairNotion, you’re getting fibers engineered exclusively for men’s needs:
– No patchy coverage on thinning temples.
– No “plastic” shine under office lighting.
– No shedding during a gym session or business meeting.
“I’ve overseen this process for 7 years. If a batch fails even one QC point, it gets scrapped—no exceptions. That’s why 92% of our men’s fiber clients return for repeat orders. They know they’re getting what they pay for: factory-direct quality, built by experts who understand men’s hair isn’t just a smaller version of women’s.”
We don’t just manufacture hair fibers—we build trust, one precise strand at a time. Ready to see the difference? I’d welcome you to tour our facility anytime.

Usage Guide & Tips

HairNotion Factory-Direct Guide
Men’s Hair Fiber Systems: Selection, Attachment & Maintenance
1. Density – how thick should it be?
Rule of thumb: match the biological hair you still have, not the hair you wish you had.
Density scale we produce (all % = hair count per cm²)
5 % – “Hollywood” ultra-light, only for receding hairline-fill
10 % – Light, for early Norwood 2–3 or 60 + yr olds
15 % – Medium-light, most popular for 30–55 yr clients
20 % – Medium, for guys who still have reasonable sides/back
25 % – Medium-heavy, chosen when the top is almost gone
30 % – Heavy, for theatrical/young looks or when you want to hide a shiny scalp
35 % – Extra-heavy; we rarely recommend—looks wiggy and shortens life of the base.
Quick test: take a selfie in direct sunlight with flash. If you can see scalp through the existing hair, order one level lighter (e.g., 15 % instead of 20 %). You can always add more hair later, but you can’t “thin” a system without re-ventilating.
2. Colour – how to hit it first time
A. Identify your root colour, not the sun-bleached tips.
B. Always compare colour in daylight; bathroom bulbs are 3000 K too warm.
C. If you colour your bio hair, colour it 48 h BEFORE you choose the system so the sample is stable.
HairNotion colour map (Indian & European mixed grey)
Solid colours: 1, 1B, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, 18, 22, 24, 27, 27A, 30, 33, 130, 350, 530
Grey blends: 5 %, 10 %, 20 %, 30 %, 40 %, 50 %, 60 %, 70 %, 80 % grey mixed into any solid.
Highlighted: 3-tone & 4-tone freestyle, rooted or un-rooted.
Order a free colour ring first; we credit the cost against your first system.
If you are between two shades, choose the lighter one—darkening is easy with a fabric dye bath, lightening is impossible without oxidising the hair.
3. Base design – which one will you stick to?
Attachment method decides the base; base decides how natural it looks.
Ultra-thin skin 0.03 mm – 1–2 weeks hold with glue only; ghostly front, delicate.
Thin skin 0.06-0.08 mm – 2–4 weeks hold, easiest to clean, good for beginners.
Mono top + poly perimeter – 4–6 weeks hold, breathable, can do both glue & tape.
Full lace – 1–2 weeks with tape, best for active sweat, needs poly on part line to stop seepage.
Hybrid (lace front, mono middle, poly back) – the “all-rounder” we sell most.
If you are prepared to remove & re-bond every Sunday night, choose thin skin.
If you want to forget it for a month, choose mono/poly.
4. Attachment – step-by-step (factory-approved)
Tools: 99 % alcohol, scalp protector, cotton buds, lace-release, red-liner tape + blue-liner tape or Ghost-Bond glue, hair clips, hand mirror.
Weekly (thin skin) routine
1. Shave the bald area to the bone—hair stubble lifts the base.
2. Clean scalp with 99 % alcohol, let dry 2 min.
3. Apply thin coat of scalp protector—extends bond 2 extra days.
4. Apply red-liner tape on poly perimeter; press for 30 s.
5. Peel red backing, spray 1 mist of lace-release on the sticky side (buys you 10 s to position).
6. Place front 4 mm above where your natural hairline used to be; roll back with a tail comb.
7. Blow-dry on cool for 60 s—heat flash-cures the adhesive.
8. Style; no shower for 24 h.
Monthly (mono/poly) routine
Same prep, but use blue-liner (stronger) and add one drop of Ghost-Bond Supreme in the centre of each poly patch. Cure with cool dryer 2 min. Expect 4–5 weeks hold.
5. Cleaning – make it last 6–9 months
Daily: silk pillowcase, wide-tooth comb morning & night, no alcohol-based styling sprays (they cloud the base).
Removal: flood perimeter with lace-release, wait 3 min, lift slowly. Never tug.
Clean the system
1. Pin on a cork head.
2. Delipid tape/glue with C-22, 3 min soak.
3. Rinse under lukewarm water, root side out.
4. Shampoo with sulphate-free, pH 5.5; stroke downwards, no circular scrub.
5. Condition mid-lengths to ends, rinse.
6. Pat dry with towel, air-dry 70 %, then blow-dry on medium with heat protector.
7. When 100 % dry, re-tape immediately (dust kills adhesion).
Clean your scalp
Exfoliate with soft toothbrush + alcohol, then moisturise with light aloe gel; wait until completely dry before re-attachment.
6. Re-dye & refresh
After month 4 the hair will oxidise ½–1 shade lighter.
Re-pigment only with direct semi-permanent fabric dye (we supply sachets). 10 min room-temp bath, no peroxide.
Never lighten or use box dye with ammonia—poly will wrinkle and knots shed.
7. When to reorder
Keep a spare at 70 % life. Most clients cycle:
Thin skin 0.03–0.06 mm: 3–4 months
Thin skin 0.08 mm: 4–6 months
Mono/poly hybrid: 6–9 months
Full lace: 4–6 months (if re-knot every 2 months)
Log onto HairNotion portal → “Re-order” → previous spec auto-fills → change only colour % if you added more grey.
