1. Brushing:
Due to their delicate nature, handle V-looped hairpieces with care, using a wide-tooth comb or a brush with looped bristles to gently untangle them. It’s normal to notice some shedding with V-looped hair systems, so don’t fret if you see a few loose strands. Avoid pulling or squeezing the hair strands while brushing or handling them. Additionally, never comb the hair when it’s wet; wait until it’s slightly damp to avoid damage. After combing, apply a leave-in conditioner spray for a moisturized appearance.
2. Washing
It’s advisable to limit the washing of V-looped men’s hair systems to once per week, or even once every two weeks for optimal maintenance. When washing, steer clear of hot water and opt for cold or lukewarm water instead. Avoid soaking these hairpieces and instead lightly spritz water onto the hair strands to prevent excess moisture on the base. Use a small amount of shampoo sparingly, and refrain from rubbing the hair to prevent tangling. Additionally, avoid applying hair products such as conditioners directly to the roots, as this can cause the hair to slip out of the base.
3. Drying
Avoid stretching the roots when placing your hair on a foam head or wig stand. If you have enough time, it is recommended to air dry naturally instead of using a hair dryer. Because excessive heat may cause damage to the wiring harness. You can use it on low heat if you must. Remember: Do not use a comb to comb wet hair. Comb the hair after it dries.
4. Wearing
Regular maintenance of your V-loop hair system is crucial for its longevity and hygiene. While cleaning the system attached to your head is convenient, it’s advisable to remove it at least once a month for thorough cleaning. Customer feedback suggests that if you remove your hair system daily, using Davyln glue on the 1” perimeter of the system can be effective. However, this method may not be suitable for individuals with an active lifestyle.
For those who remove their system every 2-3 weeks, our stylists recommend Ghost Bond or Ultra Hold glue, applied both on the scalp and the 1” perimeter of the hair system for better adhesion.
It’s best to go to a hair system specialist or stylist for your maintenance.
